Getxo Fashion

Getxo Empresarial y Comercial-Getxo Enpresa eta Merkataritza (GEYC-GEEM) carries out Getxo Fashion aiming to promote and to develop quality shops in Getxo, showing this way the interesting shopping alternatives.

Getxo Fashion started to celebrate in 1987 with the participation of associated companies that belong to the fashion and complements sector. In 1991 the show incorporated the Basque designers integrated in the Agrupación Moda Vasca ( Basque fashion group), this conjunction set a double show where the merchants present their novelties and the designers their new season collections. It was after 2003 that the young promises of the textile world also have their space on Getxo's catwalks and through this Off Getxo Moda is born, a channel that shows our newest creations.

During all these years, the initiative has been supported by the active and constant participation of the shops of the city council and the warm welcome from the public. Getxo Moda is already a leader contest in the Basque Country that, taking advantage of its background, occupies a position of leadership in the Basque fashion sector and will get to consolidate beyond our borders.

Edition after edition GEYC-GEEM has tried to emphasise the professionalism of the contest, focusing it on the quality and using all the resources available. The main objective is to obtain a maximum benefit to the magnificent image which we have in the city council, to present the fashion, especially the offers of the Getxo's shops.
