Getxo´s Showcases Contest

The Getxo's Showcases contest is already a traditional activity and has been organised by Getxo Empresarial y Comercial-Getxo Enpresa eta Merkataritza (GEYC-GEEM) for more than 16 years. Edition after edition has been consolidated thanks to the high participation rate and the high level of showcases that take part in the contest.

Companies from Getxo belonging to the shops, hospitality and service sectors can take part in the contest.

All the companies of the city council whether associated or not can take part in this activity which is celebrated in the months of November and December. They have to present to the contest either their shop window (the elements that can be seen from the outside, including the products display stand or not), their website or both, with or without Christmas decoration.

The external image of the companies for the contest: they can present the shop windows, the website or both.

In order to define the image of each edition of the activity, since 2005 GEYC-GEEM has summoned a contest of ideas for people who have finished their studies or are forming in different areas like Graphical Arts, Fine Arts, Design...

Also since 2005, and due to the contest of Showcases, GEYC-GEEM organizes a Campaign of solidares Showcases of Getxo. The companies participating in the contest who wish it, can collaborate in this campaign contributing money donations and/or species (imperishable products), destined to the most needed.
